CPO Source joins Paua’s fleet charging platform

  • New charge point operator Source, which opened its first of many charging hubs earlier this year, has partnered with business EV charge card firm Paua.
  • The new deal will allow Paua’s fleet customers to pay for charging at Source’s numerous ultra-rapid hubs directly through their Paua card, along with the opportunity to gain charging discounts of up to £500 annually.
  • The move marks an ever wider scope for Paua’s charging network, with 45 CPOs already available through the card, including 80% of all rapid chargers in the UK.

Paua adds Source to its roaming network

With the time demands placed on business drivers, the 150kW chargers at Source’s various hubs are a perfect fit for Paua’s network, allowing the typical EV driver to be charged up and back on the road in just 15 minutes. That’s reflected in some of the other CPOs available under Paua’s charge card, such as Sainsbury’s Smart Charge, Be.EV, and MFG.

Source might have only launched as a brand new CPO earlier this year, but its already making impressive strides in growth. Since opening its first hub in Edinburgh back in April, it has launched more hubs spanning right across the UK – and plans to have opened 300 ultra-rapid charging hubs across the UK and Ireland within the next five years.

Alice Aprile-Smith, Head of Partnerships and Business Development at Source, commented:

“Source partnering with Paua is enabling Source to offer preferred discounts to fleet customers for charging regularly at our ultra-rapid hubs. By utilising Paua’s one-bill approach, fleets can charge throughout the month and access bigger discounts by charging more frequently with Source. We are working with existing Paua customers and use their charging insights to offer a more bespoke approach, as well as offering discounts to new Paua x Source customers who want to access the best pricing.”

Niall Riddell, co-founder and CEO of Paua Tech, added:

“To rapidly move businesses into electric vehicles we need a range of services and solutions to support this transition. Partnering with Source does two critical things; ensures that businesses have the best possible charging locations through sharing insights and drives down costs for business drivers. We are excited to see what we can do for these drivers and businesses to reduce climate impacts and improve local air quality.”
