- Southern Europe CPO Atlante has reached a key milestone in the expansion of its public charging network, with 1,000 individual charging stations now live across its territories.
- The 1,000 stations total over 3,500 charging points, marking an impressive growth journey after Atlante only opened its first charging station in Piedmont, Italy, back in 2021.
- Already operating charging stations across Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal, Atlante is set to further expand its network with an imminent launch in Switzerland.
Atlante’s Southern European EV charging network continues growing
To mark the milestone of 1,000 charging stations, Atlante has opened a new flagship charging station in Milan, with charging speeds of up to 300kW and the necessary preparation to integrate EnergyArk, a battery energy storage system, at a future date. This system will help Atlante to maintain maximum uptime and overcome potential grid constraints as it continues to expand.
With locations spanning highways, residential areas, city centres, and retail hubs, Atlante’s high-power charging network is helping further enable EV travel right across Europe. This goal has been aided further with its recent entry into the Spark Alliance. Comprising four major European CPOs, Fastned, Electra, IONITY, and Atlante, the agreement gives access to public chargers from all four CPOs in their respective native apps, totalling 1,700 charging stations across Europe.
The number of charging stations operated by Atlante will continue to grow in the coming months, as it continues to forge partnerships with destinations right across Europe.
Stefano Terranova, CEO of Atlante, commented:
“Reaching 1,000 stations is more than just a number—it’s a milestone for Atlante. This is an achievement shared by all Atlanters together: more than three years of hard work, with many setbacks and lessons learnt along the way. This is one more proof of our commitment to power the change towards zero-emission driving in Europe.
Building state of the art stations with industry leading reliability was and remains key to our mission. And we now add more challenging and exciting tasks, first and foremost putting our technological approach at the service of our customers, followed by turning our stations into assets for the electrical grid. From this milestone, we continue our journey with passion and renewed energy.”
